Trying to figure out how to get more #instagram followers. So, I’m posting a snippet of one of the more recognizable character pieces I was working on. #MARVEL #Deadpool #kittyPride #xmen #uncanny #shadowcat #weaponx #comics

April-Sketches by RayHeight

Here are all the sketches on those pages. About half are referenced from my Pinterest account. It’s great for that. I do 30 second gestures and 5 minute figure drawing sketches when I can.

Sketch of a character of mine I haven’t drawn in a while that’ll appear in #midnighttiger issue 2. I’m liking how he looks drawn in my new style. #Comics #actionlab #reyven

My buddy Mark Brooks started an art challenge page on Facebook with the parameters to draw everyday things called Munday (Mundane+Monday) Masterpieces. This first challenge was drinking or getting drunk. So, I decided to knock mine out for my warm-up this morning.
I like to call this, “Not everyone can handle ‘Beer O’Clock’.

"As luck and talent would have it, you have showed your work and made an impression. You have received your first professional commission. Congratulations! You are no longer just a fan; you are a pro. This is actually an important realization as it means it’s no longer a game, a hobby or something you play at. You are working."
"With each project it was routine and discipline more than anything else that got those jobs done. Save the DVD’s, games, online activities and all other distractions until after the work is done. Believe me, there’s nothing like the high you get by actually achieving your goals - and nothing like the lows you get, knowing every day you didn’t quite make it!"
—Quotes from Bryan Hitch’s Ultimate Comics Studio in the section titled Working.
I pulled this book out from my shelf to help me with something I was working on, but it ended up reminding me what it takes to do this job to the best of my ability.
